The Organization Commission serves to strengthen and assist the entire organization in communicating their concerns and furthering the development of leadership among women through:  ACCW’s IMAGE Newsletter, its Membership Committee, Communications, History,and Women’s Issues. ACCW ADOPTED RESOLUTIONS FOR 2009-2011

Whereas, The Council of Catholic Women, from parish, to deanery, to Archdiocesan, to National, has a strong history dating back to 1920; and

Whereas, Generations of members have benefited from the opportunities designed to enrich our spirituality, form a unique support system of friendship and mentoring among members in parishes and across the country, enrich our minds and lives through educational information and programs, and use our leadership abilities as women in the Church;

Resolved, That in this time of great change we all respond with strong support and action to make spiritual enrichment a strong priority, create membership committees on all rings of Council to actively work to increase membership, welcome and consider new ideas and new ways to lead our organizations toward success, and take advantage of leadership training opportunities, such as the NCCW Leadership Training Development Program, that help form and provide leaders to ensure the future of the Council of Catholic Women.

ACCW Resource Packet
This Commission has prepared a folder of information for parish CCW organizations that provides valuable resources to assist in communicating with Deaneries, ACCW, and NCCW, learning about ACCW and NCCW programs, and finding answers and ideas. Parishes that have not received this folder can call the ACCW Office at (651) 291-4545 for a copy. (There may be a mailing fee.)

ACCW Membership Committee
This is a new committee appointed by the ACCW President to assist Deanery and parish CCWs in promoting membership, in encouraging and forming membership committees, and in addressing membership concerns.  The Committee members include the Chair, the Organization Commission Chair, the President or a representative of each Deanery, and several ACCW Vice Chairs.  Parish affiliates and Individual Members are invited to call the ACCW Office with questions or invitations to have a Membership Team visit your parish for a brain-storming or information session, or any help you may need.
