ACCW ADOPTED RESOLUTIONS FOR 2009-2011

Whereas, Individuals and families have the right to the protection of their dignity;

Whereas, There is strong evidence that exposure to violence in the media can increase aggressive behavior; and

Whereas, Violent and inappropriate content in the media has been a matter of concern to the Holy Father and the United States Catholic Bishops for over 40 years;

Resolved, That the Family Concerns Commissions provide information to address these issues and offer suggestions on filtering and monitoring the content of movies, TV, music, video games, computers and other electronic devices.

PRO LIFE LINKS REPORT/VOLUNTEER INVOLVEMENT

“Women supporting LIFE from conception to natural death.”

The ACCW Pro Life Links Program is an accounting of alternatives to abortion activities within this Archdiocese through affiliated Council of Catholic Women. This program was established to provide direct aid to women and children in need. Donations may be sent directly to pro-life organizations or to the ACCW office to be disbursed as designated. Money sent to ACCW without a designation will be disbursed to the Archdiocesan Life Fund coordinated
by the Respect Life Office.
